Wingham Police had a fairly uneventful weekend. During a traffic stop on the B Line on Saturday evening, the officer noted an open bottle of liquor in the back seat. All four occupants were removed from the vehicle and a further search was conducted. Police located three open beer bottles in the car.
An 18 year old man from Blyth received a ticket for operating a motor vehicle with an open bottle of Liquor.
Police want to get the message out that drinking and driving is not an acceptable practice and there is a zero tolerance on drinking and driving offences.
