While on patrol, Barrie Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a minor traffic offence.
The driver of the vehicle was found to be on several recognizances with conditions that include not having any alcohol, illicit drugs or weapons in his possession.
Police located a quantity of marihuana with the accused who was then arrested for possession of a controlled drug.
While conducting a search of the male, Police located two spring loaded “switchblades” which are prohibited weapons in Canada.
The male was transported to the Barrie Police Service where he was held on a bail hearing for possession of marihuana, breach of recognizance x4, possession of prohibited weapons x2.
