Around 10:30 a.m. this morning 19Jan205, police received information that a student at John McGregor Secondary School on Cecile Avenue in Chatham was in possession of a weapon.
The school immediately secured the area. Within minutes, officers located the student and he was taken in custody without incident.
A 17-year-old Chatham youth was found to be in possession of a knife.
The incident remains under investigation.
