(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On September 11, 2016, at approximately 9:34 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were alerted to a possible impaired driver travelling on Nine Mile Road.
Officers located the motor vehicle, and conducted a traffic stop of the black GMC pickup truck on Medway Road. It was determined that the 56-year-old male had been drinking alcohol. He was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath tests which revealed he had consumed more than twice the legal limit of alcohol.
As a result of the police investigation, Wayne STRONG, from Middlesex Centre, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA), and is scheduled to answer the charges in a London court on November 3, 2016.
