(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Friday the 10th of January 2014, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint involving a pickup truck on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft. Officers located the vehicle in a private driveway on Hastings Street North with an adult male sitting in the driver’s seat. The male failed an approved screening instrument. He was arrested and transported to the Bancroft OPP detachment for breath tests.
61 year old Wayne HETU of Bancroft, Ontario has been charged with having care and control of a motor vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood. Mr. HETU was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on the 18th of February 2014.
