TIME CORRECTION

(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – The members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are asking the public for their assistance in solving this crime.

On Saturday, August 8th, 2015 approximately 2:45 a.m. Huronia West OPP responded to a report that two pedestrians who had been walking southbound on Stonebridge Boulevard had been struck by a motor vehicle that fled prior to Police attending.

An OPP investigation revealed that four males had been walking on Stonebridge Boulevard when a black Honda Civic pasted with the driver commenting on the pedestrians as he past, these comments were responded to by the walkers causing this motor vehicle to return to escalate this situation. The driver of this Honda and one of the walkers got into a small altercation, where upon the driver returned to his vehicle and left. A short time later this Honda returned striking two of the four pedestrians, striking one from behind and then fled westbound on River Road East and was last seen at a high rate of speed southbound on Main Street.

At this time Police believe the above black Honda Civic could be an older model with an older style rear lighting and that when it fled it had 3 to 4 male occupants all in their 20’s and possible of middle east decent.

The two struck pedestrians a 26 year old male from Ajax, Ontario and a 24 year old male from Pickering, Ontario were both transported to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries.
