Warrants Executed – Guns And Drugs Seized

(ORILLIA, ON.) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has executed 2 search warrants.

On June 11, 2015, at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers from the Orillia OPP Crime Unit, Orillia OPP Street Crime Unit (SCU), Orillia Detachment, Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), and Central Region Canine, executed a search warrant at a residence on Willison Side Road in Ramara Township.

During the search of the residence police located and seized 2 unregistered firearms, ammunition and Marihuana.

Shawn HOPKINS, 39 years old of Ramara Township, is charged with 2 counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, 2 counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm and Possession of Marihuana.

He was released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on July 28, 2015.

On June 11, 2015, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers from the Orillia OPP Crime Unit, Orillia Street Crime Unit (SCU), Orillia Detachment, Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), and Central Region Canine, executed a search warrant at a residence on Ego Side Road in Severn Township.

During the search of the residence police located and seized Cocaine, Marihuana, and paraphernalia associated with Trafficking.

Richard DURETTE, 55 years old of Severn Township, is charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Probation.

Kelly QUIGLEY, 27 years old of Orillia, is charged with Possession of Marihuana.

Kodi CAIRNS, 26 years old of Orillia, is charged with Possession of Marihuana.

All of the accused were released on a Promise to Appear in Orillia court on July 21, 2015.
