Members of the Barrie Police Street Crime unit commenced an investigation into a residence in the area of Burton and Essa rd believed to be dealing drugs. During the course of their investigation officer’s observed several suspected drug transactions and arrested a 47 year old female and 22 year old male for possession of a controlled substance. Both parties were found to be in possession of a quantity of Marihuana.
The female was released with a future court date and the male was held for a bail hearing as he had three seperate warrants outstanding for his arrest. Seized during their investigation was approximately 170 grams of marihuana with a street value of $1300 dollars
