(HALIBURTON, ON) – Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have been busy over the past week regarding arrest warrants for numerous Haliburton County and area persons. The OPP has been focusing on their Offender Management Program/Crime Abatement Strategy. These programs are in place specifically in relation to persons that are released back into the community that must abide by certain conditions. The ultimate goal is to ensure accountability to help eliminate recidivism of crime. The OPP has been working closely with Probation and Parole on this effort and as a result the following persons have been arrested on outstanding warrants;
Todd SCARLETT age 38 of Kinmount Ontario – Fail to Comply with Probation Order – Two Counts. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 07, 2014 in Minden Ontario
Jamie HOWARD-CLARKE age 19 of Haliburton Ontario – Fail to Comply with Probation Order – Twelve Counts. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 07, 2014 in Minden Ontario.
Terry John SMITH age 43 of Haliburton Ontario – Surety Revocation Warrant The accused was held for a Bail Hearing on March 31, 2014 in Lindsay Ontario.
Brock MACKIE age 18 of Haliburton Ontario – Fail to Comply with Probation Order, Consuming Liquor in Other Than Licenced Premises and Person Under 19 years of age Possess Liquor. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on May 07, 2014 in Minden Ontario.
