The next council meeting is Monday night 21Aug2017 at Wingham Town Hall. An update on OPP costing for Wingham is expected. So far over 550 people have viewed the last council meeting. If you have not watched the meeting yet, you are encouraged to, and to view the meeting Monday night on YouTube.
Council has mentioned several times that our Economic Development department has failed to yield any results, except sucking about $250,000/year out of taxpayer pockets. The only time an Economic Development Committee has yielded results is when it was solely done by volunteers. Volunteers are there because they care and almost always get incredible results, they don’t want to drag things out just to pad their paychecks.
At the last meeting Brock Vodden stated “Very few great ideas come from councils” in a call for the Public to step up and participate. Click here to see the meeting from the start.
