(The Blue Mountains, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Grey County Paramedics Services and the Grey County Fire Department were dispatched to a drowning incident in The Blue Mountains on Tuesday evening.
On June 26 2018 at 7:15pm first responders attended the Mountain Springs Resort and Conference Centre on Grey Road 19 in The Blue Mountains for reports of two persons who drowned in a pool at the resort. They were transported to an area hospital where they were pronounced deceased a short time later, they are identified as 34 year-old Xia ZHEN and 5 year-old Chloe GONG of Markham.
A post mortem examination took place at the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service (OCC-OFPS) located in Toronto, no further information is available at this time.
