(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment have charged a 34-year-old male after police investigated an incident at a Concession 6, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.
On Friday, June 3, 2016 at approximately 7:09 p.m., police were contacted by concerned citizens reporting an assault.
Through the course of investigation it was determined that two males became engaged in a physical confrontation resulting in one of the males being bitten by dogs and assaulted with a weapon.
The victim was able to flee from the property and call police.
Officers arrived at the address and took the male into custody. During the interaction, a police officer was injured and was taken to a local area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
As a result of investigation, police arrested and charged 34-year-old Gabriel Christian Alan FEKETE of Norfolk County, Ontario with the following offences:
Assault
Assault bodily harm
Assault with a weapon X4
Overcome resistance by attempting to choke, suffocate or strangle another person
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
