(HOWICK, ON) – A 45 year old male is facing several charges and a court date following a traffic stop in Fordwich. On March 26, 2013 at 12:43 p.m. an OPP officer stopped the driver of a white GMC Savana van that was travelling southbound on Patrick Street when it was noticed the driver was not wearing his seatbelt. Further checks revealed the van was not insured and the licence plates attached to the van were unauthorized to be on the vehicle. As a result, Vernon WARD, 45, from Harriston was charged with Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, Permit Use of Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle, Driver Fail to Surrender Licence and Driver Fail to Properly Wear Seat Belt. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Provincial Offences Court – Goderich on May 7, 2013.
