VEHICLES ENTERED OVERNIGHT

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) -On April 2, 2014 Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received 4 reports of theft from vehicles parked in driveways at rural homes. The homes were on 4th Line, Side Road 4, and 8th Line, Pilkington. The suspect(s) entered unlocked vehicles and also broke windows to gain entry. The items stolen were purses, a wallet, loose change, GPS system, and a satellite radio system.

Police want to remind vehicle owners that thefts from vehicles are a crime of opportunity. An unlocked vehicle door or an open window is an invitation to thieves, and keeping valuables out of view could prevent a theft from occurring.
