(Ottawa, ON) – July 7, 2015, The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Ottawa Detachment responded to motor vehicle collision on Highway 417 eastbound near the Carling Avenue overpass.
At approximately 1:01 pm, a large metal portion from a forklift became airborne and struck the windshield of an eastbound vehicle. The fork from a forklift created a hole in the upper left pillar of the vehicle. The driver and the passenger of the vehicle were not injured.
It is unknown at this time whether the debris came from a passing vehicle on the east or westbound side of the highway.
