(MIDDLSEX COUNTY, ON) – At approximately 8:16 a.m. on June 8, 2015, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle crash on Highway 401 eastbound, east of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway, in the City of London, Ontario.
A Toyota Car was travelling eastbound in the inside (fast) lane of Highway 401. The car entered into the adjacent eastbound lanes to the south, and struck a Jeep transport truck car carrier, travelling eastbound in the outside (slow) lane.
The female passenger of the car had to be extricated from the car by the City of London Fire Department. She was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The male driver of the car was also transported by ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The male driver and lone occupant of the transport truck was not injured.
The three eastbound lanes of Highway 401 were closed as a result of the crash. They re-opened at approximately 9:44 a.m.
