Vehicle And Tools Stolen From Barn

(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred on Otterville Road in Norwich Township.

Sometime between January 5, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. and 9:45 a.m. on January 6, 2016 unknown suspect(s) entered into a barn located on a residential property on Otterville Road and removed two (2) Stihl weed eaters, a Stihl chainsaw, Stihl cut-off saw, Mastercraft wrenches and a GMC Sierra pickup truck.

The approximate value of the tools is $2,500.

The vehicle was recovered a short distance from the residence undamaged.

The investigation is continuing.

The OPP is asking residents to be vigilant in recognizing suspicious people or vehicles that may be sitting in neighbour’s driveways when they are not home or vehicles that are travelling aimlessly up and down roads. The public should try to get descriptions, licence plate numbers and direction of travel and report this immediately to their local police service. It is important for this information to get to police when the suspects may still be in the area.
