(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a motor vehicle collision at a Thompson Road West, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Saturday, August 6, 2016 at approximately 5:23 p.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a van and tractor trailer.
Through the course of investigation, it has been determined that a green coloured van was travelling eastbound on Windham Road 10 when the driver entered the intersection and was struck by a southbound tractor trailer.
The driver of the van along with five passengers, were taken to a local area hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The driver of the transport truck was not injured.
As a result of investigation, police have charged Bile MUSSA HASSAN of Ottawa, Ontario with careless driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
He was subsequently issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
