(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) -On December 29, 2013, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers initiated a R.I.D.E. Program on Highway 7 and Woolwich-Guelph Townline, Guelph-Eramosa Twp. The male driver of a 2004 Chevrolet was spoken with and showed signs of alcohol consumption. A Roadside Screening Device test was administered which resulted in a fail.
Further investigation revealed that the male is on probation and a condition of this court order was breached.
The Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Van Dung NGUYEN age 31 of Guelph has been charged with Over 80 mgs, and Breach Probation contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 17, 2014 to answer to the charge.
