Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers and the Ministry of Natural Resources would like to remind the public that there are specific times and locations when fishing maybe closed.
There are more than 800 sanctuaries in the province where fishing is prohibited, either on a seasonal or year round basis. You must ensure that your fishing does not take place in any of these areas during the closed time for fishing. All of the Sanctuaries are listed in the 2014 Ontario Fishery Regulations which can be viewed on the MNR website.
