At Monday night’s council meeting current reeve bernie bailey muzzled councillors and ordered the police to be called when the delegation, that was requested to be there, mentioned clearing snow on both sides of Hanna Bridge in the winter.

Council chambers was at near capacity with seniors, those with mobility issues, and a few Rights Activists. They all wanted to see for themselves the abuse of power and to witness the debate on winter pedestrian safety. One shocked senior stated after the meeting, “He (bailey) honestly seems terrified of you, and terrified of a question”. Another asked, “how can you stay so calm while bernie is having a temper tantrum in your direction”.

When those in power are afraid of debate, questions or scrutiny, you know they have something to hide. When they pass by-laws to prevent questions or debate, you should be horrified and start trying to remember where you stored the pitchforks and torches.
