UPDATE: Train Fatality – Tracks Reopened

UPDATE: LONDON, ON (January 9, 2018) – The train tracks south of York Street have been reopened following a fatality earlier today.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: LONDON, ON (January 9, 2018) – At approximately 9:40 am on January 9, 2018, an eastbound train struck the operator of a northbound sidewalk snow removal machine in the area of Colborne and York streets. The operator of the snow removal machine was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the train remains stopped between Ridout and Adelaide streets for the ongoing investigation.

The London Police Service, with the assistance of the CN Rail Police remain on scene to continue with the investigation.
