Update to Fatal Incident – Cody Johnson of South Huron

The 16 year old male who died from injuries sustained after falling from a truck has been identified as Cody Johnson of South Huron. The incident occurred on September 19, 2009 at approximately 6:00 pm on private property in South Huron west of Exeter. The young man had been sitting on a sofa that was resting on the box of a moving pickup truck when the sofa and the rider fell off the back. Cody Johnson sustained life threatening injuries, was transported to the South Huron Hospital in Exeter and was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the truck, another 16 year old South Huron male, had been in police custody but has since been release unconditionally. The investigation remains ongoing.
