UPDATE: THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLES

(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On January 14th, 2014 members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advised the public of thefts from 3 unlocked motor vehicles at 3 different residences on Christy Drive and Langevin Blvd.

As a result of an extensive investigation into these crimes and thefts from 7 other unlocked motor vehicles at residences on Admiral Road, Sunrise Circle, Kenwell Court and 2 on Fairway Court and 2 on Leo Blvd by the Huronia West Street Crime Unit, arrests have been made and stolen property seized.

Charged with “Possession of Property Obtained by Crime” and 10 counts of “Theft Under $5000 from a Motor Vehicle” is Alex HAMILTON 18 years old male and a 17 year old female both from Wasaga Beach. First appearance for the male is March 4th, 2014 and for the female is March 6th, 2014 both in Collingwood court.

As a result of the stolen property recovered, the Huronia West OPP believes that there are other thefts from unlocked motor vehicles during the month of January 2014 in the Town of Wasaga Beach that have not been reported. If you had property stolen during this time period from your unlocked motor vehicle but did not report it, please report it, we may have your stolen property.
