(Tweed, ON) – On October 16, 2013 at 7:14 a.m. Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a call of a pedestrian being struck by a car while crossing Victoria Street South near McGowan Street in the Village of Tweed. The 72 year old pedestrian was transported by ambulance to hospital with life threatening injuries. As a result of the investigation the 33 year old male driver of Belleville, ON was charged with Fail to Yield to a Pedestrian contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He will appear in Belleville Traffic Court on November 13, 2013.
