(Tweed, ON) – Today at 7:14 a.m. Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a call of a pedestrian being struck by a car while crossing Victoria Street South near McGowan Street in the Village of Tweed. The pedestrian, 72 year old Burns MACMILLAN of Tweed, ON was transported by ambulance to Belleville General Hospital with life threatening injuries. He was later airlifted to Kingston General Hospital. Traffic was rerouted for several hours while OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators investigated the collision. Highway # 37 / Victoria Street South has now been reopened.
