(DRUMMOND NORTH ELMSLEY, ON) – A 30 year old man had died of his injuries sustained in a house fire just east of Perth Wednesday night. Don Wallace of Montague Township was transported to hospital by air ambulance with serious burns and later died of his injuries. Lanark County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate the suspicious house fire at 145 Morris Rd, Drummond North Elmsley Township.
Late Wednesday night Lanark County OPP and fire services responded to the house fire after neighbors reported hearing a loud noise from the house and saw it engulfed in flames shortly after. The house was severely damaged.
The Lanark County OPP has secured the property and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit and The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office has attended the house to examine the damage to determine the cause of the fire.
