UPDATE- FATAL MOTORCYCLE COLLISION

(ELGIN COUNTY) – Police have identified the deceased in yesterdays fatal motorcycle collision as, Randy ROBB age 47 of Kitchener, ON.

Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.

Additional information will be released when it becomes available.

Original Release Dated August 4, 2013- Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating a fatal motorcycle collision involving two motorcycles and a car.

The collision occurred at 3:19pm on August 4, 2013 on Highway #3 approximately 25m east of Willey Rd, Dutton/Dunwich.

A Honda Civic car was traveling west on Highway #3 when it crossed over the centre line and into the oncoming path of two motorcycles that were traveling east. The first motorcycle struck the car head on while the second sideswiped the car.

The driver of the 1st motorcycle a year old Kitchener, ON man was pronounced dead at the scene while the female driver of the second motorcycle was transported to St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital and later transferred to Victoria Hospital in London. She is listed in serious condition.

The male driver and female passenger of the Honda Civic were transported to St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital with minor injuries.

With the assistance of OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators, police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.

Release of the deceased name is pending the notification of the next of kin.

Highway #3 between Currie Road and Iona Road will remain closed until approximately 9pm.
