(Ottawa)-On October 2, 2013 at 3:53am, the Ottawa Police Service attended a serious collision at the corner of Laurier Avenue and Bank Street. It would appear that a black 2006 Honda Civic traveling westbound on Laurier Avenue at high rate of speed struck a black 2011 Kia Rondo traveling southbound on Bank Street as it crossed Laurier Avenue.
The 54 year old male driver was transported to hospital by Ottawa Paramedic Service and succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at hospital.
The 19 year old driver of the Honda was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
Ottawa Police have charged Adam Patrick PREVOST of Ottawa, with impaired operation of a motor vehicle cause death, Criminal negligence cause death and Fail to provide a breath sample. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
