(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – Today at approximately 7:23 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call regarding a possible carbon monoxide leak at Con Cast Pipe, an industrial business located on Brock Road in Puslinch Township.
OPP attended along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Services (EMS) and Puslinch Fire and Rescue Services. Six people were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment for exposure to carbon monoxide gas and all have since been released.
The Ministry of Labour are on scene and continuing with their investigation. It has been confirmed that the victims were exposed to elevated levels of carbon monoxide. The majority of the plant has resumed regular operation.
