(STRATHROY-CARADOC, ON) – Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has concluded their investigating of a single motor vehicle collision that occurred this morning on Highway 402 west of Glendon Drive in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc.
On December 31, 2013 at approximately 6:05 a.m. police received a report of a single motor vehicle. Police are correcting the direction of travel to an eastbound car that ran off the roadway into the centre median. Other motorists stopped to assist by performing CPR on the driver. Middlesex County OPP, Middlesex-London Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Mount Brydges Fire attended the scene. The lone male occupant was transported to hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
As a result of the investigation, it has been determined that the driver, Howard McLEAN, age 66 of North Middlesex died of natural causes not related to the collision. The vehicle has since been removed from the scene and all lanes of Highway 402 are open.
