(Stone Mills, ON) – On August 30, 2014 officers of the Napanee detachment‎ of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU) attended a residence on Carroll Road, Tamworth to execute a search warrant.
After arrival, the suspect fled the scene. On the evening of August 31, 2014,
Charlie WAY, 61, turned himself into police at the Napanee OPP detachment.
He is in custody, charged with:
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Careless Storage of a Firearm
Possess a Loaded Restricted Weapon
Possession of a Firearm Contrary to a Prohibition Order
He is to appear by video in the Ontario Court of Justice, Napanee on September 1, 2014.
