Update: $200,000 In Hockey Cards Stolen

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a theft from a Concession 3, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

Between Sunday, March 29, 2015 and Saturday, April 18, 2015, unknowns attended the residence and removed a large quantity of Hockey memorabilia.

Through investigation it was determined that the owner was selling a card collection and met two males at a local convenience store in Simcoe, Ontario. Both males indicated that they were interested in viewing and possibly purchasing the collection.

Both suspects then attended the residence with the owner and viewed a large quantity of Wayne Gretzky cards which were located in a binder. One of the suspects distracted the owner and the second male removed the binder of cards and exited the home. The remaining suspect then informed the owner that they had to leave and then left the residence and entered a dark coloured vehicle.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 6’2, short hair with an earring in the right ear.

The second suspect is described as a white male with grey hair.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older black coloured, 4-door vehicle.

The theft is valued at approximately $200,000 dollars.
