(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Monday, July 6, 2015 at approximately 8:01 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle.
The vehicle, a white, 2004 GMC Savannah van, VIN #1GTHG39U341136466, with Ontario plates 1790MY, was stolen sometime between Sunday, July 5, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. and Monday, July 6, 2015 at 7:45 a.m. from the parking lot of Four Seasons Party Rentals located on Main Street West, Markdale, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside at the time of the theft.
Grey County OPP remind the public that a professional can steal your vehicle in just 30 seconds – without the key. Protect your vehicle from theft with a few simple precautions:
– always roll up your vehicle’s windows, lock the doors and pocket the key
– never leave your vehicle unattended while it is running
– never leave your car keys in plain view or in an easily accessible area
– always park your vehicle in a well-lit area
