(ALMAGUIN HIGHLANDS) The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police Detachment would like to thank everyone who participated in the second annual United Way Hockey game. This year’s game was held on Wednesday December 18, 2013 at the Burk’s Falls, Armour and Ryerson Township arena and $542.40 was raised for Untied Way Charities.
OPP would like to thank the Burk’s Falls, Armour, Ryerson Township Committee for donating the use of the arena, South River Machar Fire Chief Risto Maki for refereeing the game and members of the North East Region Emergency Response Team for attending. Also special thanks to the students and staff at Land of Lakes Senior Public School and M.A.Wittick School for their continued support. Without everyone’s support and assistance the event would not have been such a success. We look forward to next year’s game!
