(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On July 10th, 2014 at approximately 6:30pm Quinte West OPP responded to the Oak Hills Flying Club on Airport Rd in Quinte West for the report of an ultra-light plane crash.
When police arrived on scene they spoke to a 70 year old Madawaska Valley Township male that was being attended to by Quinte West Fire Department and Hastings Prince Edward County EMS.
After speaking to the male it was determined that the he was attempting land his plane when it slid off the runway.
The 70 year old male was treated at the scene by a nurse for non-life threatening injuries.
Transport Canada and the Transport Safety Board have been notified of the crash.
