Tyler Kenneth AGAWA – Numerous Firearms Offences

(BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, ON) – On September 4, 2015 at approximately 10:55 p.m. officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding gunshots being fired from a residence in the 2000 block of Mission Road.

Police attended and as a result of further investigation four firearms were seized.

One male, Tyler Kenneth AGAWA, 21 years of age, of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested at the scene and charged with:

· Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition as per section 86(1) of the Criminal Code (CC);

· Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited device or Ammunition as per section 86(1) of the CC (4 counts);

· Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm as per section 91(1) of the CC (5 counts)

· Uttering Threats as per 264.1(1)(b) of the CC as a result of an outstanding warrant.

He is being held in custody pending a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie on September 8, 2015.
