(TOWN OF FERGUS, ON) – On Wednesday July 10, 2013 at approximately 1:05 am Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were on routine patrol on St. David Street south at Princess Street in the Town of Fergus when they observed a male in the middle of the intersection acting strangely.
Police approached the male who was dancing and singing in the intersection, with his eyes closed and were concerned for his wellbeing. Police asked him to move out of the intersection. The male became argumentative and assaultive towards police and jumped on the hood of the cruiser causing damage to it.
Tyler Goulding aged 22 of Fergus has been charged with Cause Disturbance, Assault Peace Officer x2 and Mischief contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on August 20, 2013 to answer to the charges.
