Two Vehicle Crash – 76 Year Old Charged With Fail to Yield

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Tuesday December 20, 2011 at 10:15 a.m. Perth County OPP officers were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Perth Road 163 and Perth Road 139 in Rannoch.

Investigation revealed that a south bound Chevy pickup truck on Perth Road 163 entered the intersection and struck a west bound Dodge pickup truck traveling on Perth Road 139. The 69 year old male driver of the Dodge, a Township of Perth South resident, was transported by Perth County Ambulance to St.Marys Hospital with minor injuries. The other driver, a 76 year old male driver also from Perth South, has been charged with “fail to yield to traffic on through highway”.
