(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) On Thursday September 5, 2013 at approximately 11:51am the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a serious crash involving two motor vehicles on Highway 10 just north of Township Road 140 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
OPP officers attended along with Grey-Bruce Emergency Services (EMS) and Grey Highlands Fire and Rescue.
Investigation revealed that two vehicles – a Honda and a Jeep were north bound on Highway 10 when they collided. Two passengers from the Honda were transported by land ambulance to the Owen Sound Hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The 17 year old male driver of the Honda was airlifted to St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto with life-threatening injuries.
Grey County OPP officers assisted by West Region OPP Reconstructionists continue to investigate the collision.
Highway 10 is currently closed between Township Road 140 and Township Road 132 while police continue to investigate the collision.
