(LAKESHORE, ON) — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to attend a two vehicle collision on Highway 401 at approximately 5:00 a.m. this morning.
The crash occurred when one tractor trailer rear ended another tractor trailer in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 just west of Essex County Road 42 in Lakeshore.
Both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Two westbound lanes of the 401 remain closed while the debris is cleared from the roadway. One lane remains opened. The lane reduction is expected to last several hours.
Charges are pending.
