Two Repeat Offenders Arrested In Seeleys Bay

(SEELEYS BAY, ON) – Leeds County Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P), arrest 3 males in Seeleys Bay over the weekend.

On the 17th of October 2016 at around 7:20 a.m. Leeds County O.P.P received a call of suspicious persons in the village of Seeleys Bay. Officers responded to the scene and located 2 males. During the investigation, one male fled the scene, and was quickly located and arrested by officers.

Russell SCOTT 30 years old, of Kingston ON, has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with Obstruct Peace Officer, 2 Counts of Breach of Recognizance, Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking and Possession of a Schedule II substance.

Also charged is Richard MCBRIEN-FITZGERALD, 21 years old of Seeleys Bay. He has been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with Fail to comply with Probation Order and Possession of a Schedule II substance.

Both were held for bail and will appear at Brockville Ontario Court on the 18th of October 2016.

On the 16th of October 2016 at around 3:00 p.m. a Leeds County O.P.P officer was on patrol on Hwy 15 near the village of Seeleys Bay.

The officer saw a blue pickup truck committing traffic violations and proceeded to stop the truck.

The officer conducted an investigation at the scene and subsequently arrested the male driver of the truck.

Peter BILLINGS, 59 years old of Lyndhurst Ontario has been charged under the Criminal Cod of Canada with, Impaired Driving. He has also been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Speeding and No validated Permit.

He will appear in Brockville Ontario Court on the 25th of November 2016.
