(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On July 4, 2015 at 9:40 p.m. a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was conducting radar patrol, in an unmarked OPP cruiser, northbound on 6 Highway and Lawrence Road, Northern Bruce Peninsula, ON. The officer observed two vehicles driving southbound; a grey Honda Civic and a silver Honda Civic. The vehicles were driving in tandem at high rates of speed.
Both drivers; a 24-year-old male from Ajax and a 25-year-old male from Barrie; have been charged with race a motor vehicle. Their licences have been suspended and their vehicles impounded for seven days. They are required to appear before the Owen Sound Provincial Court on August 31, 2015 to answer to the charges.
