(BROCKTON, ON) – On August 8, 2017 at approximately 9:08 p.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed two vehicles travelling at high rates of speed southbound on Yonge Street South in Brockton. The officer stopped both vehicles, a 2003 Volkswagen CTS and a 2007 Ford FMS and, as a result, both drivers were charged.
18-year old Dylan Kevin FREIBURGER of Hanover, Ontario was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle – Excessive Speed and Fail to Surrender Licence.
18-year old Michael Benjamin MCASKILL of Brockton, Ontario was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle – Excessive Speed.
Both vehicles were impounded for seven days and each driver had their licence suspended for seven days.
Both are scheduled to appear in court in Walkerton on August 29, 2017.
