Two Police Cruisers Collide – Road Closed For 6 Hours

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – On November 11, 2015 at 12:15 am Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were responding to a call for service, a family dispute, when they were involved in a collision.

The collision occurred on Highway 35 at Pontypool Road. Two OPP cruisers were involved. No civilian vehicles or persons were involved. The two vehicles contained four officers and none sustained any injuries.

The road was closed for over 6 hours for the investigation to be conducted. The OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation. The investigation is continuing.
