Two Pedestrians Struck – One Suffers Life Threatening Injuries

(WATERFORD, ON.) – On Thursday, June 30, 2016, Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle and two (2) female pedestrians. The collision occurred in the parking lot of a restaurant on Main Street North in Waterford.

The collision occurred at approximately 7:09 a.m. when a van struck the pedestrians in the parking lot, then came to a stop.

One female pedestrian was treated by Norfolk Emergency Medical Services (EMS) with minor injuries at the scene and the second female was transported by EMS to an area hospital with life threatening injuries. The male driver of the van had no injuries.

Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) is currently on scene continuing with the investigation.

The collision remains under investigation.
