(MULMUR/MONO, ON) – On Friday November 25, 2016 at 6:32 pm Dufferin OPP were conducting a RIDE Program on 5th Line in Mulmur Township. A 2005 Chevrolet pickup entered the RIDE program. The driver had an odour of alcohol on his breath and the driver failed a roadside approved screening test. As a result of police investigation 20 year old Mitchell Squirrell of Melancthon Township, Ontario was charge with Drive Motor Vehicle over 80 mgs of alcohol
On November 25, 2016 at 11:16 pm Dufferin OPP were conducting another RIDE program at intersection dside test. As a result of police investigation 20 year old Mitchell Squirrell of Melancthon Township, Ontario was charge with Drive Motor Vehicle over 80 mgs of alcohol
of 3rd Line EHS at 5th Side road in Town of Mono. An Audi Sedan entered the RIDE Program and driver had an odour of alcohol beverage on his breath. The male driver failed a roadside test. As a result 67 year old Thomas Long of Georgetown, Ontario was charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle with over 80 mgs of alcohol.
Both drivers had their vehicles impounded and driver licenses suspended for 7 days. The accused will appear in Orangeville Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
