(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged two men over the weekend for Impaired Driving offences.
On Saturday April 15, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m., police were patrolling on Darlington Drive and conducted a vehicle stop for a Highway Traffic Act offence.
Upon speaking to the driver, police determined he had been consuming alcohol and arrested him at the scene. He was transported to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, 52 year old, Raymond POPOFF of Kenora has been charged with Impaired Driving contrary to section 253(1)(a)of the Criminal Code (CC) and Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b)CC.
He is to appear in Kenora Court on May 25, 2017 to answer to the charges.
(KENORA, ON) On Friday April 14, 2017 at approximately 10:30 p.m., members of the Kenora Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible impaired driver in downtown Kenora.
A few minutes later, police located the suspect vehicle parked on Bernier Drive. Upon approaching the vehicle, it was determined the driver had consumed alcohol and was arrested at the scene.
As a result of this investigation, 52 year old Ken BOSHKAYGAN from Fort Frances has been charged with Fail or Refuse to Provide a Sample contrary to the Criminal Code.
He is to appear in court on May 25, 2017 to answer to the charge.
