Two Men Charged in Connection with Robbery

The Chatham-Kent police have charged two men following a robbery in Chatham last month.

On July 29, 2013, shortly after 9:00 a.m. a masked gunman entered the Medical Place Pharmacy located at 20 Emma Street in Chatham and demanded Fentanyl patches. Employees turned over an undisclosed amount of patches and the suspect fled the pharmacy. No one was physically injured.

On August 7, 2013, as a result of the investigation, police arrested two men in connection with the robbery.

Shaun PINSONNEAULT, 29 years, of Chatham has been charged with Robbery, Pointing a Firearm, Weapons Dangerous, Assault with a Weapon and Wearing a Disguise with Intent. He remains in custody.

Derek VERKAIK, 27 years, also of Chatham, has been charged with Accessory After the Fact and was released with a future court date.
