TWO MALES FOUND SLEEPING INSIDE STOLEN VEHICLE

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Sunday, February 2, 2014 at approximately 5:46 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of two males observed sleeping inside a vehicle parked on the travelled portion of Road 55 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

The vehicle in question, a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, had been reported stolen from a residence on Grey Rd. 124 in Singhampton on Monday, January 27, 2014.

Police arrived at the scene and awakened the two individuals who were still found sleeping inside the stolen vehicle. A quantity of syringes and other drug paraphernalia was seized.

Charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 under the Criminal Code, and possession of marihuana under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act are, Patrick Skylar CLANCY, 30, and his brother, R. Taylor CLANCY, 27, both of the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

A bail hearing was scheduled for Monday, February 3, 2014.
